Welcome to Our Center

Previously referred to as the Rome Subregional Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped or the Talking Books Center, the Rome Subregional Library for People with Disabilities provides free library service to the disabled in eleven counties of Northwest Georgia.

Patrons may borrow all types of popular interest books including bestsellers, classics, mysteries, westerns, poetry, short stories, biographies, religious literature, children's books, foreign languages, and other fiction and non-fiction materials. As well as catalogs of books by subject, reference, referrals, and reader services. Equipment available for in-house use includes closed caption television (CCTV -color), assistive listening device, magnifiers, task lighting, braille typewriter, Kurzweil, Zoomtext Software, Open Book Ruby Edition, and TTY.
